Ingredients

Directions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Green Beans:
- If using fresh green beans, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch the green beans for about 5 minutes, then drain and set aside. If using canned beans, just drain them.
- Mix the Casserole Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Combine with Green Beans:
- Add the blanched or canned green beans to the soup mixture and stir until the beans are well coated.
- Add French Fried Onions:
- Fold in 1/2 cup of the French fried onions into the green bean mixture.
- Transfer to Baking Dish:
- Pour the green bean mixture into a 1.5-quart casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake:

- Add Topping:
- Remove the casserole from the oven, sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of French fried onions on top, and return to the oven.
